I am an animal lover too and know the pain of losing a loved friend.
As I get older I wanted to think it would get easier but it does not.
Unconditional love is hard to find in this world , animals seem to be here to show us how to do it.

So sorry to hear about losing Pookie and having another cat who is ill. I know the feeling. I still have the red collar and tags my cat, Dexter, wore. He's been gone almost 8 years now. Take heart ... I believe there is a Heaven, and all our beloved pets who have passed on, are romping through fields of grass and wildflowers chasing butterflies. Angel

Thanks everyone. I think we are all doing important work giving unwanted animals a forever home, but it is so hard sometimes to make the decisions we have to make. Group hug
