Plant ID forum: What is this?

I need help identifying this plant that's appeared beside my Kilmarnock weeping willow(I think that's correct). Not sure if its a weed that may harm the tree its growing beside.

It would be helpful for any future questions if you could add where in the world you live.

Please can you check to see if it is coming from the bottom of your Salic caprea pendula...Kilmarnock Willow.

It looks like a may be from the roots of your tree.
They are called suckers.

Kilmarmock willows are weeping trees and need to be grafted on the top of another Salix or willow sp.
