This looks like a small Sunflower , about 9 inches tall Stinging nettle to the left of bloom bud photo I know ,

I think velvet leaf, also. You will know if the leaf surface is very soft and velvetty.

Jim, here's an interesting tidbit:
'In an outdoor emergency, the soft leaves can be used as a substitute for toilet paper'.

That was my description of the bud , The plant has not bloomed it still looks the same
If I had to describe the blooms in the photo links ,Simple marigold or a leaf covered Coreopsis is how they look to me
