Hello everyone. What might these be? I was thinking Chanterelles but it's my first hunt and want to be sure. They are not at the base of a hard wood but about 30 - 50 feet away from some large ones. This is almost on the stump of a dead yew. Very rubbery gills. They do not break off when rubbed. Found in a large round cluster.

Thank you in advance for alL you help.

Hi Jen,
Do you have a photo? Difficult to judge without..
But according to your description they could be Judas Ears..
