My Agave vilmoriniana just had hundreds of bulbils. I put them in trays with some soil and they are starting to root. This is a nice Agave, not as pokey as most of them. Good in zones 7b to 11.
Would like to trade for ? But I've been known to share for postage and a thank-you.
Dee

I'd love to try 1 of them would you like to try any Fletcher's pink vitex and/or Shoal Creek vitex seeds for one. I would offer you some fig or pomegranate cuttings but my plant's are not dormant yet. Besides those the only other thing I have that will grow in your area is Adam's needle yucca if your are interested I have a few small plants I can share for some. Thanks and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Sure I'll send you one but wouldn't 100 be better? I think the final count is going to be like 500 bulbils on this one stalk !!! I'd love to try some of your Vitex seeds, a few of both would be great. I grow a lot from seed so I'm always looking for new plants. Send me your address and I'll send a couple bulbils to ensure your success.
Thanks, Dee

Thank you so much, please shoot me a tree mail if you ever get any other hardy agave bulbils or offsets you can share. In a month or so many of my plants will be going dormant so I'll have cuttings and plants I can share with you in return. Thank You!

You know I have a slew of Agave Parryi truncata babies and I've seen them hardy down to like 5b. I also have variegated Agave Lophantha (center stripe Agave), they may or may not make it in 7b, they say 8a on most sites. However they are a "small" Agave and could be potted or maybe just planted under a tree to keep it a little warmer in winter, I have a small one and it would be worth a try as they are so cool. I'd love some cuttings, it's always worth a try. I have several plants in my garden from cuttings.

I'm interested! I don't have any fancy plants, just usual houseplants (ZZ, snake, croton petra, dracaena, elephant ear, some succulents) but I pay the postage of course.

There are hundreds of Vilmoriniana plantlets. Do I tear them off or wait until stalk falls down? They began blooming late March and now stalks are beginning to break off.
What kind of tray can I use with what type of soil from home depot, please.

Just break them off and use cactus and palm soil with some perlite or pumice added.

Any kind of tray these are not picky.
