I note that these are all TB although he had a better photo of he had a better photo of a 2016 IB. Because of the HIPS sale we (I) ordered more plants than we should have. We will be digging for our club sale during the early summer. I will be sorry to see many of them go, but when a garden is worked by people in their 80s, that happens.

My top ten is far from ready. I am still planting so I haven't begun to wish yet. Did send the check in for a 2017 order today though......just two cute little SDB's and she is throwing in an MTB she wants to test in my climate.

I know I'm responding awfully late to this, but I just wanted to comment that Mordor was my deciding factor on where to purchase from. It was the first iris I just HAD to have, so the decision was easy. I'm hoping to see it bloom this upcoming spring!

Yes, Robin @Totally_Amazing after two emails and a long wait they responded that they don't sell overseas at the moment. I've been thinking about the suggestion of asking Barry Blyth if he would ship one or two Rainbow Ridge rhizomes with my Tempo Two order, but it seems a bit cheeky to ask, and he's no doubt very, very busy...

There is a French seller who is good friends with Barry and imports from him every year - I might try a gentle query in that direction. It's frustrating not to be able to just buy, but understandable that people are reluctant to enter the world of phytosanitary certificates, shipping costs, etc. I have the same problem (as probably you do) with lots of the US sellers...

Flew back to France yesterday evening - I'm about to go out and inspect all the irises here. Smiling Crossing Fingers!

You all are so decisive, being able to pick out 10. I can't even get my list down to a top 100 and I have really been trying. I really need to bring down the wishlist this year to below 50 because I need to dig up lawn for the next years garden and the grass is thick in that area so I want to keep the size down to something that is managable. I am trying all kinds of things to dwindle down the wishlist. I try visializing what I most want to see bloom, try ruling out picks where I already have similiar types growing. And still here I am at well over 100. What is a girl to do Smiling I am ready to put my choices in a jar and pick from the jar Smiling

Rolling on the floor laughing pick from a jar. My wish list which isn't all listed on here, is unreasonable too. I think you can narrow some down by reasoning that you can wait for it to come down in price. I then justified getting more expensive varieties because by the time I waited for it to come down in price that mine would have multiplied nicely. After being on this forum the fact something might not survive to multiply that way will be enough for me to wait in the future.

I also have an unreasonable list. Another way you "might" be able to bring the price down is view the pictures of your wanted iris. A few days later view them again. Is there anything on the list that you don't like as much as the previous day?

Irises in pots scare me, but I'll have to do it for my Tempo Two order since there will be snow outside when it arrives.

I consider two factors when choosing such a small number from a massive list of wants. First, which new ones I cant live without (some you just cant) and which few have been on my list the longest. I create a list and then randomly pick ten from those listed. Last year I went in search of those that I had been wanting for several years. I did fill over half of that list and am still looking for a few of those. Buying older ones I missed out buying newer ones so this year I may buy a few of the newer ones that made me gasp when I saw their photos last spring. And I plant to buy medians and mostly SDB's from those. It is hard to stay focused when there are so many beautiful blooms beckoning.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
