I love contests...even if there are no prizes offered. Hurray! Hey, your front yard looks naked - you need more plants. Thumbs up

Also love to build things out of wood. Others have already seen this but here is my "mini-pergola-raised-bed-garden:

The design plan was to have some type of climbling/vining plant grow up the short sides and onto the top; plants requiring less sunlight can be grown in the box part. I had to move my entire garden rather suddenly and have not yet added the fence wire for the climbing/vining plants. I planted lettuce, kale, nasturtium, mint and a few other random things, but it all grew very happily.

Good luck with your contest. Thumbs up

Very nice, Greene! It's good you are crafty and can build things like that. Your plants look very healthy!
Philip, you could do the veggies toward the house, and then have the flowers out front so it all looks nice to the public.

Your a little early for my raised beds I'm just stating to build 6 beds. Im hopeing to have them done by the end of winter. They will be built out of reclamed wood. And if I have to keep digging though solid rock it's going to take even longer. This is what I have so far it's not much. I was also allowed to get all of the city's hanging baskets I'm going to use potting soil in a raised bed

Looks good @plantcollector. Thumbs up I can "see" how lovely it will all be once it is finished. You get bonus points for recycling the soil from the baskets. Thumbs up

I finally kept the squirrels from eating my corn seedlings and the groundhogs from eating my tomatoes.

Yardenman, that looks good. Keeps out the squirrels but allows the pollinators free access. Nice garden!
