Ferns are not native to my specific location so I know these ferns were planted here awhile ago.

I have a small grove of about 11 ferns. I purchased an Ostrich Fern yesterday and today I compared the foilage of the Ostrich Fern I purchased with my established Fern grove. It looks very very very similar. Can someone please I.D. the species of Fern growing in my grove?

Papery brown chaff at the base. But new fronds are round.

Last year dried fronds appear to have the U shape at the base. I see no single brown frond sticking straight up today.

These ferns have a light U shape but only up where the frond laces out.

The stem near the ground seems more roundish but not perfectly round and it's got brown papery chaff hairy stuff at the base.

Here is a look at the aged crown that grows up above the soil.

The leaves branching from the main stem are slightly staggered just barely not branching off directly across from each other

This one seems to have some sort of budding growing out of one of the leaf sockets.
