Hi gardening and plant community , could someone please help me identify this plant I inherited from my grandmother . It has just flowered today it also has a 4 sided stem . Thankyou

Took some digging, but I think it might be Rhipsalis cruciformis. It looks pretty close, but I'm not a cactus expert by any means!

at least that's what I call mine based on answers in another site. Names change and far be it from me to say which came first.

Yes, the oldest name takes precedence (except when renamed recently in regard to genetics) when it is realized different names have been given to same plants.
1925 for R. cruciformis.
1838 for L. cruciformis.
