These guys volunteered along a rock path and grew happily in this challenging spot (hard clay soil; hot, dry west side). They stayed low and crept across the tops of the rocks, maybe as far as 10" or so. Pics were taken July 20. I stepped around them all summer and hope I don't regret not killing them outright. Any ideas? Thank you!

Packera werneriifolia Groundsel ?
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
