Oh, I LIKE that! But what is a 'bald'? PS: ![]() Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost President: Orchid Society of Northern Nevada Webmaster: osnnv.org |

I'd love to see photo of the leaves but from what I see of the leaf tip and width, I'd say it's Bluebead Lily (Clintonia) too. Bluebead Lily: Bluebead Lily (Clintonia borealis) http://www.ncwildflower.org/pl... http://www.fs.fed.us/wildflowe... https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/pl... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... http://kporterutley.com/plants... http://synodresourcecenter.org... Trout Lily is also a N.C. native but the blooms appear to have recurved petals. http://www.ncwildflower.org/pl... ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |
