If you could go out for Halloween dressed up as a plant (or anything gardening related), what would you be? An arborvitae? A pitchfork? A sunflower seed?...

Type your answers below.

Edited to add: Please post pictures, if you can, so we can see the specific plant/item/etc. that you would dress up as.

Being a desert dweller now, I go for tropicals. I'd love to be a Heliconia!
This is the type I love!

Oooh, that would be neat! I had to look it up in the database because I couldn't picture heliconia, and I discovered they really vary quite a bit! I should have requested that people post pictures of what it is that they would like to dress up as. I'll have to edit my post... Rolling my eyes.

I think it would be fun to go as something most people have never seen or heard of. I just did a quick Google search and found this awesome-looking little thing. Maybe I would go as this, a korchia ball:

...apparently they turn red or purple (in the fall?).

There isn't a database entry for them as far as I can tell and only a few websites mention anything about them, leaving me to wonder if they are a hoax. Hmm.. Confused

Haha, Jim, you said "the claw" and reminded me, ironically, of Jim Carey in the movie Liar Liar.

Okay, since my initial idea may or may not be an actual plant, I'll amend mine. I think it would be fun to go as a shrimp plant:

Libby, that's beautiful!

I'd be Acanthus mollis. Love the leaves and flower spikes. I don't know how to add an image from our database so here's one from the net.

Hahahaha, Daniel!

Karen - I believe someone was offering the shrimp plant (cerinthe major) in the swap. If not, I might see if I have a few I can spare.
