Plant ID forum: Cushaw, or something else?

I planted a seed from a dark star zucchini packet that grew into this. Unfortunately I accidentally weedwhacked the main portion of the vine and had to harvest the pictured specimens early (I think), but they are about 5 inches in diameter. I've taken this photo with the still-living part of the plant (the flowers are white, when they're open in the mornings). I thought they might be Cushaws, but they don't look striped like the ones I've seen. Any idea what these are?

Looks like a dipper gourd.
Maybe it is Lagenaria siceraria "Dipper"

Edited to add the botanical name.
