I am growing out this Ipomoea nil indoors this winter. It was sold as Danjuro, but unfortunately, true Danjuro strain does not have a white margin. I want to try making a bonsai style plant again. The seedling shows yellow leaf mutation anyway so it should be a good candidate for making a bonsai style plant. Seed is 7 years old.

That's really pretty Joseph!
It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give...

The cotyledons are quite large.

First leaf is growing out well.

Dr. Yoneda points out you can predict flower color by seeing the color of the hypocotyl.

The plant has gotten its first pruning. There are several buds developing, and I hope that they stay on the plant!

I have two buds that look like they will open this week. Unfortunately, no secondary vines formed and most of the leaves are dying due to dry air syndrome.

Hopefully the buds will hang on Crossing Fingers!

Yes. There are 2 leaves now. One is ok but the other is half fried. Let's hope for flowers soon.
