Where is the plant located? It looks like Baccharis, possibly Sea Myrtle (Baccharis halimifolia) . The one in the photo is a female. wildflowersoftexas.com |

I agree, it looks like the Sea Myrtle. Here in south Georgia this is a common plant along the roadsides. Very pretty to look at from a distance. But a few managed to find there way into my garden and...not so pretty. I removed them before they had a chance to re-seed. I prefer to admire this plant from afar. Here is a link written by someone with a positive opinion of the plant: http://www.gpcnativegarden.org... Sunset Zone 28, AHS Heat Zone 9, USDA zone 8b~"Leaf of Faith" |

It's by the ditch at the end of the driveway. The picture is one of the branches that fell off during the last hurricane. We are on the coast of NC. Thank-you for your help with this. |

![]() Its the sort of answers I used to get from my kids: "where did you hurt yourself?" "Right here on my elbow" Sorry, couldn't help myself. ![]() Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost President: Orchid Society of Northern Nevada Webmaster: osnnv.org |
