Love the quote. patience and trust. I have definitely learned patience since gardening, although after the new year starts, I will count down the weeks until daylily season starts Smiling

Interesting tidbit about the author of the quote. Gertrude Jekyll's brother was friends with Robert Louis Stevenson and that is how the name Jekyll came to be used in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Thank you dear "gardengirls" for noticing and commenting on the landscape photo. I took this just a few weeks ago at the Chicago Botanical Gardens. There is magnificent acreage of Japanese gardens. It was a gift from the Japanese government and is indeed a portrait of patience and loving care. The Chicago Botanical Gardens are an inspiration to me and an endless source of beauty to photograph.
