My Jefferson Rose is finally blooming!! I love it!!

What a sweet rose!

Mine has always bloomed white so far. Either the shade it's in is too deep or I bought a mislabeled one.

According to Chamblee's Roses, the Jefferson Rose was a found rose in 1983 in Jefferson County. I forgot which state. According to them in cool weather the rose blooms apricot slowly turns to yellow and then to white. In hot weather it changes quickly to white. Chamblee's is naming the rose Softee. It is not a registered name at this time.

Marti, Softee actually is the official name of a Ralph Moore rose, registered way back in 1983, and Chamblee has tentatively identified its found rose as Moore's Softee.
