hi, so I received a lemon cypress for my birthday and a tiny jar of roses, I don't want then to die like my money plants when I transferred them to a new pot, should I do the same for these plants or no (reporting them))? and if so, then how.

Welcome!

Neither of those plants are going to be happy houseplants. Is there a possibility of planting them outdoors?

I agree with Daisy, I'm sorry. I have seen people receive these little miniature roses a thousand times at work, and they are quick to perish. If there is no hole in the bottom of the jar your roses came in, I would repot them, so you can enjoy them as long as possible.

Hi kbains, Welcome! from me too!

I agree with Daisy & Laurie that both the Lemon Cypress/ Monterey Cypress (Cupressus macrocarpa 'Goldcrest') and the Rose (Rosa 'Parade') will more than likely be short lived if kept as indoor houseplants. They both get quite large and require more sun than can be supplied indoors.
