I have a Mandevilla vine and two hibiscus trees and a hibiscus bush and a mini rose bush in pots. My question is I live in Wisconsin and I have all of them in my basement. I have just noticed that they have been soaking in water I really don't know for how long, but some look dead or all brown. I don't know what to do to help them survive. Can you help me please.

For starters, if they were mine I'd try to get the soil to dry out by taking them out of their pots and wrapping the roots with some old towels to wick the excess water away. Any brown stems that don't show green when you scratch it, is probably already dead. Then examine the roots and cut off any dead or rotting ones, and repot in some fresh potting mix. Give them some light and warmth and pray for a good recovery. Group hug Wishing you a happy outcome. Hopefully others will have some more suggestions.

Welcome! Melpom

Its terribly disappointing and discouraging when things like that happen. But Deebie gave you some great suggestions.

I tip my hat to you. I just try to pass on whatever info I've cleaned from others, especially here at NGA. nodding
