I brought mine in a few weeks ago, should I cut her back or just let her be and give her a drink over the winter months like I do with my other containers. She was a beauty all summer, my before and after shots. Thank you for any advice, Christine

Christine - I've been growing a hydrangea in a pot for several years because it's not quite hardy enough to plant in the ground here. I generally let it get a little taste of the cold so that growth slows down and then bring it in. I keep it barely watered and let the leaves die off. Since pruning stimulates growth, I won't trim it back until early spring when I want it to start growing again. Good time to repot or amend soil.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we can't eat money. Cree proverb

Christine, do you know which Hydrangea you have? I'm guessing from the pictures that it could be one that blooms on old wood rather than the current year's growth. In that case you don't want to cut it back or you'll be cutting off next year's flowers.
