Found growing in a field near China Camp State Park, Marin County, CA very pungent aroma from leaves and a sticky stem, I enjoy the smell, others might find it too strong? Cool plant. Ideas?

Tarweed (Deinandra fasciculata), a California native. A little stinky but the common name refers to the paint thinner smell. Its quite rare.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
