What is this plant or maybe a weed? Thank you!!!

• Comes up wild in my yard near Sacramento ca.
• evergreen
• thrives in full sun low water in heat over 90 degrees
• fast growing
• transplants well
• I want to use as a privacy hedge along property line

Looks like Ligustrum UK common name is Privet.
Widely used for hedges as it is robust/virtually indestructable and can be pruned.
