The Red Admiral is one of my favorites! Good pics! I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad |

Thanks, Linda. Wasn't exactly sure just where to put them so this seemed like a good place. I was out yesterday and got a few more. Our temps hit the 70s again and there was quite a bit of bf activity. Several Skippers and these... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I garden for the pollinators. |

Lovely pictures Songsofjoy both plants and bfs...my favorite bf is the buckeye. Try as I might here, I don't get but one ever now and again. I have plenty of their host plant too. :-( |

Thanks, Sheila. Once our weather warmed again, we had quite a few bf in the yard. I don't see a large number of Buckeyes here but I love them too. My late-blooming yellow Buddleja has been very prolific in bloom this year and they are loving it now. I garden for the pollinators. |

Yes, I thought so for so late in the year. Today is cool and rainy. None to be seen. I garden for the pollinators. |

Those Red Admiral shots are beautiful, Tee. I don't think I've ever seen one of those before. In the end, only kindness matters. Science is not the answer, it is the question. |

I've been releasing American Ladies after raising them. Here's one holding on before it took off.![]() I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. Wow, I'm not sure that I would have even noticed the moth. Really nice shots, Sally. In the end, only kindness matters. Science is not the answer, it is the question. |
