Hello..
Actually I have a small lawn in front of my house. But due to not taking proper care of it ,wild grass and plants have grown in it.What should I do to clean the lawn and make it beautiful.( I am a real beginner in gardening)

Edit:
The climate is kinda tropical with extremities on both side. Dry hot winds in summer and dry cool winds in winter without snow.and rainfall is also heavy.About the grass type,I'm not so sure abt the kind that's growing in my lawn..but I'll try to find out.
And I do prefer to avoid herbicides.
And also I have a hedge around the grass with bamboo fence around it but still I find stray dogs pooping in my lawn.so that's kinda irritating.

Can you give us a bit more information? Where is your lawn located, what kind of grass are you trying to grow, do you prefer to avoid herbicides, etc?

Yes, it would be good to know your location and what type of grass you prefer to grow.

You could sit down and get comfortable and dig up every weed in the entire lawn. It takes a while but it does not involve using chemicals. After the weeds are gone you can re-seed the lawn.

You could kill the old lawn including the weeds by using a Round Up type product for lawn grasses and weeds. Wait until everything is completely dead, remove all the old vegetation.

Or you could rent a sod-cutting machine and cut away the old lawn and weeds.

Before planting the new lawn it would be good to incorporate organic matter into the existing soil; a rototiller will make this job easier. Once the soil is prepared you have the choice of using seed or sod.

Welcome! It may be possible to renovate the lawn by changing the mowing height, fertilizing, irrigation and maybe aerifying. Can you post a picture of the lawn so that we can see what's needed?
