I think I like blue and white blends..., but they are pretty.

Although the blends are more subtle on Gambling Man, I do enjoy them a lot.

@iciris
is your area too hot & dry barbara for the pink iris w/the lav. horns?

just trying to figure out if all the irises i pick in the future have to like drier conditions with heat? or warm. conditions with high humidity. i have the latter.

is humidity a foe? others in my area have very dry conditions and have never experienced rot, whereas, i've already rot in one iris that i got and planted in a pot. i thought i was controlling soils well, but i guess not!

Yes, in the summer we get very hot. July and August it's not uncommon to have weeks of 100* plus weather. 119* is the hottest I remember and very little humidity here also.

Laymont, 2015 irises (Roland's photo is paler - but I like both colourways!) I've also ordered Titanic Story (Piatek 2015) which is an interesting blend.

There are sooooo many Piatek irises I want. I wonder which ones will be available through Rockytop this year.

It's such a shame it's so difficult to buy across borders. I plan to order directly from Robert again this year - though from what he said I don't think his list will be available until April. The rhizomes he sent me in the summer are growing really well, I can't wait to see them in bloom.
I've been trying to find a French stockist of Bersillon irises, and finding it strangely hard. She may have moved to the US, perhaps?

I noticed that - I've been trying to decide whether to place an order with Stout - but the phyto cert, shipping and customs duties are a bit off-putting. It also seems a bit silly to buy rhizomes by a French hybridiser from a US company, given that we live (sort of) in France!
Given the extras I've added to my Tempo Two order, and that I still have several orders to place (Piatek, Bianco, Zalewska, Mid America), I thought I should probably wait until next year for the Stout. But they do have some great Burseens that I can't get in Europe. Whistling
