at first i wasn't really into the blended irises, as some of them come across as too 'muddied'. (imho). but, combined with the other companion plantings and irises, they do work well together. especially, in the photos of gardens posted here on the iris forum Hurray!


My favourite iris with more distinct bands of colour is Gothic Lord.

The gophers in the iris beds have all been dealt with. I'm still fighting a losing battle with the ones eating my cacti (agave).

I'm sorry to say, but you will need to keep a perpetual eye on your iris beds, because those tunnels still exist, and THEY'LL BE BACK.... (* said in Terminator voice*)
