Hi littlebin, I'll be more diligent about taking photos this spring, I promise! Mine just typically look rattier than most here--my foliage ALWAYS gets hail damaged so it's a bit embarrassing posting pics when there are so many GORGEOUS flower and plant pics posted to this forum...you'll almost always see more close-up bloom shots from me than full plant pics because of that. This pic of Pink Cameo demonstrates what I'm talking about...

It will be interesting to see what blooms next spring. I know I had several first time blooms last spring that I missed, several of the Lins peonies and Summer Glow jump to mind...and I missed almost all of my Itohs.
Missing pretty much the entire mid season made me really appreciate the few that I did catch. Rose Heart did very well for me this year--the first time I've gotten a support out there before the snows so it stood up incredibly well this spring--can't even see the tomato cage! This one is around 7 years in this spot and has never been divided, it's a nice plant now but I can't imagine how big it'd be if it were in a better peony climate. At least it's protected by the house from most of the hail but not a sunny location for the same reason, it doesn't seem to care!
One that caught my eye while going through my pics is Cactus Jack. I don't know how many "striped" doubles I have now, seems there are several, but Cactus Jack is the only one that's bloomed first year. It's not really double, just a full semi-double, but loved the flower.
My Etched Salmon has been very slow to increase and is in one of the heavier hail hit gardens. The few blooms I do get are amazing to me, though! I edited one of them to get a close-up of the petals toward the middle, love it! Here are both original and zoomed...
