Hi there,
Thanks for all of the great info you provide!

I am looking for a list of the top US cities for home food gardeners and/or urban farmers.

Is that something you can provide me?

Thanks so much for the help!!!!

Gosh Doug, that's an interesting question. Even though we have a lot of members here at garden.org I kind of doubt that we even scratch the surface of "all the gardeners in the US". I'm not sure how you'd even go about gathering the data on that. Stealth drone survey? It would take years and years.

Thinking about it, though it would make sense to me that the most veggies might be grown by gardeners in the southern tier of states - California, AZ, Texas, Louisiana or Florida simply because we have more than half the year to grow our edibles down here.

I have an 8 month growing season here in central Florida, October through May. (not counting some tropical fruits which do bear in the summer) All the local schools here have gardens where the kids grow edibles and learn about gardening, too. We're so lucky that the growing season is during the school year here, unlike more northerly states where winter shuts things down for months.
