Just pulled this out of the grass Confused random onions growing in my yard??? How cool is that. It's white and slimy in the middle. Doesn't smell like an onion.

If it was any kind of Allium, it would smell line onions/garlic/chives. It's some other kind of bulb like daffodil or Lycoris.

My first thought too was Red Spider Lily (Lycoris radiata)
