I've got two propane heaters one for each of my greenhouses. One has three btu setting, 4000, 9000 and 18000 the other only has 4000 and 9000. I have two 15lb tanks hooked up to each one. I've been trying to find a good formula that will give me a good approximation of how long my tanks will last at 4000 and 9000btus. Since the temp has dropped 60 degrees since yesterday afternoon I'm having to run both heaters 24hrs for the next few day. Any advice would be appreciated.

I found some rates in the product details of this unit
http://www.mrheater.com/portab...
one pound lasts six hours at 4000 btu
or this
at 4,000 BTU = 0.044 Gal/Hr, at 9,000 BTU = 0.099 Gal/Hr

Thanks Sally, that's one of the heaters I have in fact. I didn't even think about looking there for the information.
