Hmmm... That doesn't look like a fern. More like a Stapeliad or rhipsalis. How big is it?

For sure it's not a cactus or a succulent. Those are dried leaves underneath it. It's pretty small; that's a 6" pot there.

Those scaly things does resemble some type of Lycopodium (there are many of them, L tristachyum, L digitatum or others). how do you come by this one, wild plants, buy from collectors?

I'm thinking Selaginella, commonly called Resurrection Plant. They can be dried up completely then put into water and come back to life.
