Counting today there are 11 days of Christmas left.
Now if a Orthodox married a Protestant or Roman Catholic Christian, the Orthodox Christmas is Jan. 7 so if a guy married an average chick who demands all those gifts the song lists by the end of the 24 days of Christmas he would have a large barn yard of animals and enough maids a leaping to put on a Las Vegas girly show.

Yes, the Twelve Days Of Christmas is a great Christmas song but sure not the stuff people would pass out for presents in today's world!!

I was a Christmas Eve party and the host played The Twelve Days Of Christmas on the piano and we all sang. Well, this was just before the food was served. The singing really put everyone in the Holiday spirit!

There is now again an Orthodox Christian church in this town but it celebrates on the twenty-fifth of Dec. as a member I spoke to said only the large cities or congregations still use the traditional Jan. 7 as it, and work, can get in the way unless they take days of vacation.
It is amazing the politicians bend over backwards to accommodate the Muslims, including forced prayer breaks in a factory a mile or so from where I am at but do not do so for the Orthodox.

There is a, very large, former Orthodox church building about twenty miles from here in a very small town, used to be larger when the dairy was still going, that is replete with the onion domes on corner towers.
The area was originally heavily settled by persons from Eastern Europe.

If I were fifty miles closer to the Twin Cities, from either house, I have always wanted to attend one of their Christmas services.
One of these years I am going to have to get my lazy buttocks over there to take one in.
