I have seeds from a certain cultivar of maple tree, and i was wondering if when i plant them they will come out as that cultivar? Is that how it works? Or would you need something like a cutting to get the tree's certain characteristics?

Welcome! if it's a cultivar then most likely they would not be the same from seed and to be sure of getting the same plant you'd need cuttings.. Can you tell us which cultivar it is?
