I am so glad to share my little piece of paradise with you all..... BTW...the Banyan Tree is actually Ficus benjamina (that twirpy little tree that hated drafts, changes in temperatures and lack of humidity in Seattle.... go figure!). We also have Ficus lyrica, elastica (3 forms), moretonia, elongata, aspera and a couple more... We did have religiosa but it died - can't win them all!!!! ![]() It's all about choices. |
You grow everything that I can't even grow inside the house without intense labor and intensive care. Your place is amazing, Carol! But what a ton of work you must do every day! |

Wish I could take ALL of the credit!!! There is a woman who loves my garden and loves leaving with cuttings and junk we clear away....she helps me about 10 hours a week....then there is DH and his magic tractor skills....he's rather handy with a chainsaw as well. Zuzu...your garden has everything I can't grow here!!!! Aloha! Carol It's all about choices. |

My story is similar to yours, Carol, but I only do this on a third of an acre. I can't imagine how much work must go into your plot of land, and as for weed control, I can't keep up with mine!! I am thinking about taking your approach. When we come to the Big Island next we'll plan a visit!! |
