I've never grown Cardoon but if the needs are the same as Artichokes, Fresno won't be humid enough.

It is considered a pest/invasive plant in California. Phillip, eat fast. Don't let those puppies go to seed. Smiling

Thank Y'all 😎
Ive done my homework on it !
How it can turn into Audry 2 !!!
Little shop of horors 😮
2 other varieties didnt ship to CA.
The variety Rouge D'Alger did, and i find nothing to contrary on this variety. I googled cardoon in california and came up with 1300 results. I also googled this variety and came up the same.
We have a simalar weed hear. Stinging nettle ! Ouch ! Leaves go right through your levis. It gets same thistle as artichoke and cardoon. The cardoon buds. You can eat. I cant believe Baker Creek Seeds would ship seeds that were illegal to California.

The guy who wrote the article I linked to also lives in California, in Sonoma Valley. I think you're probably ok. Smiling
