We received a bought of flowers and these were included. I looked through all of my photos that the company provides to give identification of plants and fresh flowers. It was not listed. I think and so does my mother that it is a type of peony.

What is it really?

I agree and moved this to the Plant ID forum so you can mark it as 'Solved'.

Calif_Sue,

Why do you do me this way? On my last question you said it was solved before anyone else even came to give their opinion on what the plant was.

Now I may not know all of the different types of plants in the world and may not know the scientific names to go with them, but I do know that only 2 people has posted anything on this post and I will not declare it solved until I am comfortable that what I have is what everyone is saying. As you and everyone else said it is difficult to identify from a picture.

I am not saying it's solved, I mean you can mark it as 'Solved' when you are satisfied that it has been IDed. There is a Thread Options at the bottom of this thread where you can mark it as such, you click on the blue " Mark as solved, finished or expired." and it will mark the thread as "Identified' so others know it has been resolved.
So when I write that I "moved this to the Plant ID forum so you can mark it as 'Solved", that's because that option is not available in the Ask a Question forum, only here in the Plant ID forum so by moving it here, it gives you that option now.

It's a Eustoma (Lisianthus). No question about it. Leaves, buds, blooms -- all unmistakably Eustoma.

I don't believe I moved another thread of yours or wrote anything about being solved, I only see two threads you have started requesting ID's and this is the only one I moved to the Plant ID forum and mentioned it could be marked as 'solved'. Your other one had several replies and I just linked photos much further down in the thread.

Calif_Sue:

Can't make everyone happy, even when providing a forum and answers for free.

That plant is NOT a Paeonia sp.

I agree I used to grow them in my garden in CA.
