Hi,

I am new to this forum. I am growing indoors in The Netherlands and my basil grows hydroponically but all of a sudden has these amber colored balls on the stem (see picture). I thought of eggs but under the microscope the material seems plant-like. Does anybody recognize this?

Hope to hear from you.

Best regards,

It kind of looks like scale to me, but I don't know how common that is in basil (especially grown hydroponically). My other thought would be aphids.....
