I agree with Gabe, as it always surprises me how varied the color range is from the seedlings. A lot of really nice ones, I love that orange and rust colored one.

My favorite one of that bunch has the yellow standards. I have one Iris from Lowes (Schreiner's supplier here) that always blooms in the foliage very early with 1-2 buds. Now that was an
Iris that shouldn't have been sold. It had a nice big flower before the rest that my husband loves..

Now when it comes to buds and branching Mid-America describeds 'Deal or no deal' as having four branches with up to 14 buds! My local gardener friend pointed it out.

Deb.. It was nice lots of the visitors pointed to it so definitely cheerful and a fast grower hopefully it puts on a show in the spring..

Tom.. It stood out and I can't think of anything else in those colors either Smiling

Nikki.. I enjoy Paul Black's plants he does some amazing work and has some really fun projects coming Smiling the more buds the better in my opinion, but I can work with them if the flower is unique and all the other qualities are excellent, I have some favorites over the years that has bloomed with less than desirable buds but the flowers are awesome and Im thrilled that they got a name because I now have a chance to work with them and improve it nodding I would rather have a plant with a unique color pattern that stops you in your tracks in the garden versus one that looks identical to something else with a few more buds.

Thank you for sharing Brad. I love seeing seedlings bloom, and plan to visit more gardens this summer. Seeing flowers in person are the best, great photos coming in next when you can't.

I agree, that last one especially. Love that lavender edge on the blue falls. I don't think I've seen others like that. I planted several crosses to Magical last summer. I hope some of them bloom this spring. I really love Magical. It didn't bloom for me last season though, so I couldn't use it this season.

Intuitive crosses Brad you have an excellent eye! Nice to see new looking stuff most repeat existing things that should never be introduced, even the big guys do it. Way to many purple and yellow selfs

Thanks Everybody !! I'm glad you guys like some of them my favorite of that bunch was the Magical seedling as well really neat colors that cross has given me some wonderful things to work with in the future was disappointed no more of them bloomed.. I had plans for them Big Grin

Arilbred.. I agree way too many similar colored flowers being introduced that are no better than what's already out there.. there exceptions to that if there is improvement in form, it is a superb parent, and we can always use more rebloomers especially in my climate but personally I want to produce plants you don't need a name tag to id in the garden Smiling or at least that is the goal.

Deb. Here is 1 more Smiling this one is still here will get more pictures in the spring for you..
