My mother recently bought me a type of succulent for my birthday and I can't seem to identify it. I've been looking around a little and I think it might be in the haworthia family. Can anyone help me with this? I also don't feel too good about the tiny pot it's in, but I don't know that I'll be able to find anything better. Should I find a bigger pot to put it in?

Welcome!

You are right, it is Haworthia. The pot is fine unless it has no drain hole. If you do need to repot (because there is no drain hole), find a pot similar in size and use soil formulated for cactus and succulents. When you fertilize (next summer when its actively growing) dilute the fertilizer to 1/4 strength. Water only when the plant is dry - this time of year, that could be once or twice a month.

There are many similar Haworthias. Yours reminds me of this one:

Oh! Thanks guys! I was really confused, this being my first plant and all. I had only started research on gardening a few days ago, so I couldn't really figure out what it was.
