Hi,

I just bought a fiddle leaf fig (nearly 5ft) and some of the leaves were a little brown but it seems to be getting worse. The browning looks like spots or pixels (If that makes sense) on the leaves and is on both sides. Some of the leaves are also really soft and drooping, others are just dropped downwards but still hard. I can't see any mites or insects.

Also the roots are starting to show at the top of soil near the trunk. Will topping up soil help or should I repot? I've read you're not supppsed to repot until spring/summer?

I've included some photos. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Leah

I gave the best advice I could, @Bubbles, but this plant is badly sick. Hopefully, Leah @ljban1 will give us updates.
