Help..... my money tree (jade plant ) is shedding leaves. I love this plant and have superstition that it represents good fortune for my business. I know nothing about plants. I bought it home from my office as it seemed to by dying, so it has recently moved location. I dont know if I should re-pot it ? I read they hate to be moved, but the pot it's is in maybe too small and has no holes in it which I understand is not ideal? Does the pot look to small ? Are the leaves coming off as I am over watering it not watering it enough. Should I feed it? And if so what ?

My guess is that you are overwatering. The pot isn't too small but not having a drainage hole is a huge problem. Find a new pot. A pot that is wider than tall is ideal (and also attractive). Use a soil especially formulated for cactus or succulents, or use regular potting soil with extra grit added.

After repotting, only water when the top couple inches of soil is dry. And find a sunny window to put it in.

Welcome to NGA. @Katemorgan !

No need to panic, jades are pretty forgiving. (if not, mine would have died long ago)

I think your plant could probably use a slightly larger pot (with a drainage hole); and maybe more light? Where is your plant located? Changes in light and changes in temp will cause leaves to drop (in my experience Whistling ) I think watering less is best for a jade, as opposed to watering more. Smiling

Jade needs as much light as you can provide indoors. As others have said keep on dry side with well draining soil. Pot needs a drain hole.

My 2 dozen plus Jades are inside half the year and are under t5ho lights, almost as good as real sunlight.
