|I have tried neem oil at varying strengths and from different suppliers but I have an ivy plant with such a bad infestation of aphids that it is not working. It's been 3 weeks with spraying every 5-7 days.
This is the first time I have ever encountered such a bad aphid infestation indoors. What do you do for indoor infestations OTHER THAN neem oil?

Aphids can be washed off your plant pretty easily.
Put a plastic bag around the pot NOT the plant!). Tie the bag around the base of the plant with a string.
Get a bucket with warm water and a bit of soap in it (like dish soap) and slosh the plant in the
soapy water--up and down....up and down...for a couple minutes. This should wash off (or kill) most
of your Aphids.
Then rinse the plant the same way, in clean, warm water (maybe a couple times)to get rid of the soap on the plant.
Allow the plant to dry ...remove the bag and your plant should be clean of your Aphids,
Keep an eye out though--check the growing tips now and then--as that is where most Aphids like to
gather and multiply. Gita
