What a beautiful setting your parents live in!! And I see where you get your love of gardening from too.
That is my dream trip, an African safari! My brother is an avid birder and he has gone to so many exotic destinations and seen so many wonderful birds, animals and scenery, he did the So. Africa trip a few years ago. He did see the Big 5 and I lived vicariously through his wonderful photos.

What a great trip! I love their landscaping there, and the bird pics are incredible! It looks like I need to add South Africa to our bucket list.

Karen - SA is a good addition to your bucket list! There is so much to see on the way up from the wine lands in the Cape, past the flowers in the Karoo up to the Kruger National park in the North where you will most definitely see the BIG FIVE!

We have friends and family members related through marriage from So. Africa and every time they visit us here in No. California, the remark how much the scenery and weather reminds them of areas So. Africa.

Sue I have heard that before about No. California but have never made it there to see for myself. Closest was around the Minesota area when we visited friends who used to live in Minneapolis.
