I inherited a plant from a co worker. It used to have red blooms and shiny dark green leaves with woody stems. I thought it was hummingbird pollinated but I couldn't identify the plant. With the advent of winter the leaves have grown brown spots with speckles all over the undersides, and the plant appears to be dying. I put it under a grow light and trimmed the dead leaves away, and treated it with neem oil spray. Some new baby leaves are growing in but they are getting brown spots too! What is going on and what can I do to save this plant? Thanks!
