Jan 19, 2017 11:47 AM CST can decide to never plant it. (Just my opinion) Please do some research to see if it will be a good fit. It causes skin problems for some people and it allowed to get too dry could become a fire hazzard.

Edited to add:
I forgot to mention that the serrated edges cut easily through skin. Have to dress in long plants tucked into boots, long sleeves, gloves and tape around wrists to prevent cuts.

They do easily get overgrown, and are very difficult to trim back. I used to think they were beautiful, but to me they aren't worth the trouble. I'm with Greene. nodding

I agree, there are better alternative ornamental grasses. Pampas grass can be a real thug and almost impossible to move or get rid of.
