|I'vve been growing Desert Roses for years. . .but this has me stumped. "Helper" plants lovely little plants around the Desert Rose in its pot (maybe the beautiful huge bulging root system was not his idea of beautiful). . and then he overwatered. How there's a huge bulg (like a giant yam) on one side above the soil that when touched is obviously full of water and when pricked began a slow leak of water.
I've pulled all the little extra plantings out. . .lift the DR above the soil (there wasn't very much under the soil. . I do this about every 6 months) and see one longer piece of it (it must have been the conduet for the water) is shriveled and wrinkly (which of course I have seen before). Should I remove both of these. I know I must "vent" the soil with rice hulls (I'm in Bali) as I'm a little afraid of the sand as it is all black volcanic sand. . .lovely to look at. .nice and coarse for building. . .but is loaded with sulfur. Suggestions? Ideas? Advice?

|I was going to suggest posting in the Adenium forum but I see you already have, perhaps add photos to that thread and I'm sure one of the experts will be able to help.|
