There is one member here on NGA who has the Bulbophylum longiforum. Her name is @sugarcane. Let's see if she will chime in with an answer for you.

Orchid (Bulbophyllum longiflorum) sure is an interesting orchid!

I don't know anything about the following vendors but both show it at their website:

Seattle Orchids currently lists it out of stock: http://www.seattleorchid.com/B...

This company called Piping Rock Orchids lists it for sale: http://www.seattleorchid.com/B...

Flowers look same but not plant. and without the ( l ) in longiflorum its basically an air-plant. And flowers smell like poop 😬
Thank you for her name. @sugercane. I found it on her site and got right name. If she dosent answer hear maybe ill try tree mailing her.

Hi Phillip,
I myself do not grow Bulbophyllums but one of my orchid club members ( Bill Thoms) is kind of a big deal in the Bulbophyllum world. He has a website

BULBOPHYLLUMS.COM

with a bunch of cultural information as well as his catalogue of plants and flasks available.

Oh good, glad you found it!
Bill and his wife have probably won more AOS awards than anyone else out there. He recently got the highest EVER cultural award score that the AOS has given out. His plants are beautifully grown and everyone that has one has been very happy with them.
Tell him I sent you!

Hi Philip,

Yep, the flowers smell like poop. Also, is this your first orchid? You might want to start with something a little easier. Bill Thomas makes it look easy. I have 9 or 10 of them (not B. longiflorum) only one of which blooms consistently.

Normal people (like you and I) don't grow orchids from seed; we leave that to the experts.

No worries. I used the feature @dave gave us and suggested a correction in the title of your thread. It is spelled correctly now. Thumbs up
