I just got a bunch of orchids in and most of them are genera I have never had before. I will be posting these new additions over the next few days. Contact me if you want more information or want to order any of them. Many of these plants are in bud or bloom and this will be noted with each.
This is a new genus for me, Clowesia (Catasetum). Her name is Clowesia Rebecca Northen 'Grapefruit Pink' and she is a sub-compact grower, her pseudobulbs only getting to around 6" tall. She is leafless this time of year and before leafing out, she blooms. These plants are in bloom right now and the flowers will last around four weeks. Her fragrance is of grapefruit. She not only brightens up the room with her flowers but also imparts a nice, citrus fragrance. These plants are in 4" pots and ship in their pots. They are great plants for small hanging baskets, letting the pendulous flowers hang over the edges of the basket. They are super easy to grow and need little or no water (and no fertilizer) during the fall and winter months. When they begin to leaf out in the spring, resume watering and fertilization. Spring is also the best time to re-pot/up-pot.
The photos you see of the potted plants were taken 1-20-17. PayPal is the fastest and easier method of payment.
