This cutting was given to me by a co-worker and I have no idea what it is (neither does she).

This has really stiff stems and the leaves are thick and rubbery. There are small red marks on the stems and when it gets big the stems get almost woody.

PamelaLynn77, There are many common names for each plants I believes, differs in each country. I'm not familiar with peperomia's common names in other countries, but we called it penny plants, or money plants. Probably you're right too, or some nurseries just decided to come up with new name so it sounds nice, either way it is always nice to know scientific names, since it is universal.
