Hi all!

So, I just posted some reviews in the Green Pages. There are recent reviews featured on the entry page, but I can't find a way to browse ALL the Green Pages, or all the Green Pages for a specific geographical area. Are there ways to do either of these?

TIA!
AKA Joey.

You can't currently browse by geographical area. It is something that we might add in the future.

To browse all the pages, currently the only way to do that is alphabetically. You go to the green pages front page and from there you can click on the letter A to see all companies that start with that letter.

Thanks Dave, yes, I saw that and the categories too. They're nice, but personally, if I may put in a feature request, I would prefer to be able to browse by location for garden centers. Why? Well, because I'm not really able to easily get to one that's in Florida because I live in MA! Names and categories are great for online stuff and books, but not for nurseries and the like.

Hope we can have it one day. Thank You! for all the wonderful things you do here! I enjoy them every single day!

I, too, would like the ability to filter by location (or even by country in my case!).

Thanks for all the work you put into the site, Dave.

Cool, maybe someday NGA will have a Green Pages map. That way we can pop in to shop at recommended places even while we are on a trip away from home.

I like the idea of regional searching too. Another wish list item for me would be to be able to see all the reviews chronologically backwards in the "see recent reviews" area instead of stopping at 10 or so. It could just page like the thread contents do in the forums. With the recent Green Pages acorn incentives, I found myself looking at that area every time I got on line, but I know I missed seeing some. It was fun seeing everything that was reviewed and it brought my attention to many more things than I would ever have thought to search for throughout the entire Green Pages "catalog".

If each company mentioned in the Green Pages has a zip code it should be possible to eventually create a map similar to the MemberMap...but I'm not a computer genius so don't know how difficult or time consuming it would be. Hey, @jon...you busy?

From what I can see, not all of them do, but they all have cities or towns and I think even states.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

As it is now, the green pages are handy to look up a company if a person already knows the name of the company, and possibly to discover an unknown company...
if the company happens to offer a particular desired product that both exists in the current popular categories and has been edited to show up there ...
or, if a review somehow sparks a desire to see what a company has to offer...
otherwise, not especially useful to discover an unknown company, be it local or eCommerce, unless, of course, ya like browsing by the alphabet or random reviews.
Me, not so much--I'd like to see regional filtering Thumbs up and more categories, someday
